ACTIROX and ILUMERON in the spotlight at Electra Mining in South Africa
ACTIROX: amazing abrasion
The first of VSM’s two products was the new VSM ACTIROX AF890 fibre disc. The grinding booth gave customers and interested fair delegates the chance to experience the quality of this impressive next-generation abrasive at first hand: VSM ACTIROX is based on geometrically shaped ceramic abrasive grains that degrade extremely evenly and precisely. As they do, they constantly produce fresh and sharp cutting edges. In the processing of superalloys, stainless steels and carbon steels, this technology sets the standard to follow in terms of stock removal and grinding speed.
Maximum gloss levels with ILUMERON
VSM also outshone the competition with ILUMERON. The new long-life abrasive from Hanover, Germany, makes grinding and polishing possible in just one work step. It also offers an extremely fine and technically consistent surface quality with maximum gloss levels. Representing a long-term boost to efficiency, ILUMERON is the best choice for high-gloss surface finishes on stainless steel, superalloys and unalloyed steels with low to medium contact pressure.
A successful exhibition
Area Sales Manager Nikolaus Ban offered a positive verdict for the event: "The exhibits and hands-on demos of our latest product innovations in the coated abrasives and bonded abrasives segments offered visitors from South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa an ideal starting-point for experiencing high-quality and high-performance abrasive solutions."
The next Electra Mining in Johannesburg is scheduled for 7 to 11 September 2020 – and VSM is likely to attend once again as an exhibitor.
